Patek Philippe Museum - a special experience for watch fans

Patek Philippe, a company steeped in history, is well known to watch fans. A visit to the museum of the same name in Geneva provides a unique insight into the opulent treasure trove of watchmaking history. The museum of the company foundet in 1839 offers an insight into the history of the craft, from Geneva’s rise to become an international centre for watchmaking to Patek Philippe’s contributions to the history of craftsmanship.

Visitors can admire the art of watchmaking from the 17th century to the modern day. In addition, it offers a very complete panorama of Patek Philippe production since 1839, as well as a library with more than 8,000 works on timekeeping topics. And who better to guide visitors through this extraordinary collection than the Honorary President of the Manufactory himself. Philippe Stern has organised the exhibition in collaboration with Peter Fries, director and curator of the museum. With the help of a tour assistant on multimedia tablets, visitors are given the opportunity to be guided through the exhibition by Mr Stern, get to know his favourite exhibits and gain insights into his motivations and passions. Visitors can look forward to seeing around 2,500 clocks, automatons, masterpieces of watchmaking and impressive miniature paintings on enamel.

The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 6pm.
