Ole Lyngaard Copenhagen – Ladies jewellery in Scandinavian design
More than 50 successful years have established the excellent reputation that the exceptional Danish jewellery manufacturer OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN is known for all over the world. Founded in 1963 by Ole Lynggaard, the extremely talented goldsmith himself was responsible for the design of the exclusive jewellery collections. Prior to this, he expanded his horizons considerably by studying in Germany, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo and the Middle East. His customers could therefore always be sure that they were wearing hand-picked gemstones and exclusive gold jewellery, which clearly carried his distinctive style all over the world. As Creative Director, his daughter Charlotte Lynggaard has been responsible for design since 1992. Her often floral and graceful jewellery creations are strong and beautiful, emotional and decorative at the same time. In 2008, the jewellery manufacturer OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN became a official supplier to the Danish royal family.
Ole Lynggaard seeks and finds inspiration in exploring his Scandinavian home country
Ole Lynggaard always keeps an eye on the highest level of perfection, which requires an extremely careful and precise selection of the individual components. The creation of a piece of jewellery sometimes takes years. In the progress of his career as a goldsmith, he was so fascinated by certain motifs of his own Scandinavian aesthetics that he kept rethinking them and developing them over and over again, such as the Snake collection or various variations of his elephants.
Charlotte Lynggaard's jewellery is simply irresistible, of great recognition value and very captivating in its design
Expression of feminine elegance with an extravagant touch – this is the motto in the design of daughter Charlotte Lynggaard. She, too, finds her inspiration in nature, which she uses for inspiration. Her brother Sören (now CEO of the company) says that he couldn't remember a walk with her where she would have come back empty-handed. Stones, leaves or twigs – still recurring as structures and shapes in her jewellery designs today.
In Ole Lynggaard's studios in Copenhagen, goldsmiths make jewellery in the traditional way – supported by the most modern tools, such as the mathematical-aesthetic distribution of diamonds of different sizes to emphasise the organic shape of a piece of jewellery. In this way, timeless masterpieces are created. Jewellery that makes women feel special and attractive. Particularly exciting is the high level of complementation possibilities of the individual jewellery objects. The wearer creates her own individual look according to her own wellbeing and taste and has additional pleasure from new combinations again and again.
